and opportunities America afforded them to become rich and famous, yet
for one reason or another they turned anti American. To these sick people,
everything America does is wrong and the enemy is always right. The last
advice I wish to convey to my younger generation is: “Never trust the Viet-
namese Communists”!!! They have been proven to be evils of the worst
kind all through the last half of the 20th Century until the present! They
have changed their name from the Vietnamese Communist Party to the
Vietnamese Workers Party and from the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam
to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. They have transformed from poor
peasants before 1975 to multi-millionaires and billionaires through plun-
dering and stealing after April 30, 1975. In the bottom of their soul, they
have not changed. They are still the inhumane, immoral, deceptive, dan-
gerous, cruel and unpredictable communists. Don’t ever trust or believe
them regardless of how sweet or conciliatory they try to convince you.”

nghĩ, thời gian ông phục vụ trong Sư Đoàn Nhảy Dù Việt Nam; Năm 1995,
tác giả Michael Martin (Command Sergeant) xuất bản quyển “Angels in
Red Hats: Paratroopers of the Second Indochina War”, gồm nhiều hình
ảnh và bài viết của các cựu cố vấn Hoa Kỳ phục vụ trong Sư Đoàn Nhảy
Dù; Năm 2009, Đại Tá hồi hưu Robert L. Tonsetic viết quyển “Forsaken
Warriors: The Story of an American Advisor who Fought with the South
Vietnamese Rangers and Airborne, về những kỷ niệm thời chinh chiến,
phục vụ trong vai trò cố vấn với hai binh chủng này, Tiểu Đoàn 44 BĐQ,
và Tiểu Đoàn 2 Dù; Đến năm 2012, Đại tá hồi hưu Mike McDermott viết
quyển sách “True Faith and Allegiance: An American Paratrooper and
the 1972 Battle for An Loc”, về thời gian ông có mặt với Tiểu Đoàn 5 Dù
trong trận đánh An Lộc; Vào tháng 5 năm 2014, Thiếu Tá hồi hưu John
J. Duffy viết tập thơ “The Battle for ‘Charlie’”, về trận đánh Đồi Charlie
của Tiểu Đoàn 11 Dù; Cuối năm 2014, Đại Úy Gary N. Willis phi công
Hoa Kỳ, từng bay biệt phái cho Sư Đoàn Nhảy Dù viết quyển “Red Mark-
ers, Close Air Support for the Vietnamese Airborne, 1962-1975”, về các
phi công bay yểm trợ không yểm, liên lạc với các cố vấn Hoa Kỳ trong các
tiểu đoàn Nhảy Dù, cho những trận đánh của binh chủng Nhảy Dù. Cả sáu
quyển sách này đều đề cao sự chiến đấu dũng mãnh của các người lính
Nhảy Dù Việt Nam.
